(N) Press Release: Sonata Arctica Announce 2013 UK Tour

Finnish power metal quintet Sonata Arctica have announced some long-awaited UK dates in support of their 7th studio release Stones Grow Her Name (released May 2012). The album was well received: topping the Finish charts, as well as reaching the ninth slot in both the UK and US rock charts.

Sonata Arctica last headlined the UK almost two years ago, and their return in April is highly anticipated. The Stones Grow Her Name World Tour began in April 2012 with summer festivals; and the band played a slew of shows in mainland Europe and North America in Autumn and Winter.

Henrik Klingenberg (Keyboard / Vocals) comments:

"It's been about two years since we last hit the UK and I'm very excited to announce that we'll be back in April. Looking forward to having a couple of nice ciders in the pubs as well as kicking some serious ass. It will once again be legendary....see ya all at the shows, it's been too long !!! Cheers !!!

Announced dates are below, with support acts to follow.

14th April – Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
15th April – Club Academy, Manchester
16th April – HMV Institute, Birmingham
17th April – The Garage, London

Embedded below is Shitload of Money, the second song on Stones Grow Her Name. Lead vocalist Tony Kakko described the track thusly:

"You cannot sell something you cannot buy back. A lot of people, especially on Facebook and other social media - and they should consider this! - they are putting their face and privacy out there and you can't get it back."
