Terrorizer Magazine is currently streaming Aeon’s upcoming album, Aeons Black, ahead of its imminent release. The follow up to 2010’s Path of Fire has been described as "one of the best death metal albums of 2012" by Revolver Magazine, “…punishing, blood-curdling, Christ-baiting death metal…” by All Music and “the band’s heaviest and most brutal album to date,” by The Metal Review.
The album will be the Swedish band’s first recording since their debut EP Dark Order (2001), to feature original drummer Arttu Mallki, who was replaced by Nils Fjellström in 2002. Aeons Black is set for release in North America on November 20, 2012 through Metal Blade Records and was recorded was recorded at Empire Studio in Östersund, Sweden. It was engineered, mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström at Garageland Studios and features striking cover art by Kristian "Necrolord" Wåhlin (Bathory, At the Gates, Dissection and Emperor).
